Bootcamp methodology

We use a methodology focused on practice and building a strong portfolio:

Lectures

Practicing theory is not just a complement, but the heart of your learning. Our hands-on approach is designed to consolidate your learning, boost your creativity and hone your technical skills, preparing you to excel in the industry.

Collaboration with incubator teams

At the end of the bootcamp, you will have the option to apply the theory learned in live projects and collaborate in one of the teams of our incubator. This experience will provide you with an understanding of the dynamics of teamwork, problem-solving, and business project development.

Bootcamp Final Project

Throughout the bootcamp, a final project will be carried out with mentored follow-up so that when you complete it you will have a project that will serve as a portfolio for the job search.

Careers

You will have access to 40 hours dedicated to professional careers, where we will teach you how to define and create a good portfolio and curriculum based on your specialty. In addition, we will provide you with guidance to professionally communicate your CV profile and highlight all your strengths effectively, thus preparing you to face the selection processes with more tools.

Program

We will address the conceptualization of environments in 3D design in a detailed and structured way. We will start with research and reference collection, learning how to use various sources to enrich our creative process. Then, we will delve into the creation of mood boards and concept art, where we will visually capture our ideas and styles. We will analyze visual narrative and story design to create immersive experiences. In the design and planning phase, we will focus on the layout and initial blocking of scenarios, understanding the importance of silhouette, composition and the integration of narrative elements for a coherent and exciting design.

We will dive into the fascinating world of terrain modeling and landscaping in 3D design. We’ll learn specialized terrain modeling techniques using tools like ZBrush and Blender, perfecting the creation of stunning natural settings. In addition, we will explore the realistic creation of vegetation and natural elements to enrich our digital environments. We’ll address optimization and levels of detail (LODs) to ensure optimal performance across large environments. Then, we will delve into architectural and structural modeling, mastering modular modeling, advanced architectural detailing, and specialized techniques to achieve the desired destructibility in our designs.

We’ll explore creating PBR textures and materials in 3D design. We will start with the fundamental principles of PBR and crafting realistic materials to improve the visual quality of our projects. We’ll use specialized tools like Substance Painter and Designer to create advanced textures that add depth and realism to our models. In addition, we will learn about procedural texturing and direct painting for more efficient and personalized results. We will address advanced UV mapping techniques to optimize the complexity of our models, as well as advanced texture baking and normal maps to improve the quality of details. We’ll also explore asset management and texture pipeline to maintain effective organization in our projects.

We will delve into advanced lighting techniques in 3D design. We’ll explore both dynamic and static lighting in engines like Unreal Engine and Unity, understanding their application to achieve stunning visual environments. We’ll learn how to use volumetric and atmospheric effects to add depth and realism to our digital environments, simultaneously optimizing lighting for optimal performance. In addition, we will immerse ourselves in rendering and post-processing, configuring options to achieve cinematic quality and applying post-processing techniques to visually improve our designs. Finally, we will explore the creation of captures and videos of environments to enrich our portfolio.

We’ll explore integration into both Unreal Engine and Unity to bring our 3D design projects to life. At Unreal, we’ll learn how to import and manage assets efficiently, as well as create blueprints to introduce environmental interactivity into our environments. We’ll also explore the use of particle systems and visual effects to add depth and dynamism to our scenes. In Unity, we’ll dive into the workflow for importing and organizing assets, as well as scripting for handling dynamic elements. In addition, we will explore using Shader Graph to create custom materials and add a unique touch to our projects.

We’ll focus on optimizing gaming environments, which is crucial to ensuring optimal performance across different platforms. We’ll explore optimization strategies tailored to different devices, as well as performance analysis and profiling to identify areas for improvement. We will also learn about techniques such as LODs, culling and polygon reduction to optimize resources without sacrificing visual quality. In the final project, we will design and develop a proposal for a 3D environment, applying the techniques learned. In addition, we will prepare for publication, performing quality tests, creating documentation, and guiding the presentation and distribution in markets and communities.
