Level Up opens registrations for the 5th edition of its 2025 pre-incubation program for new video game creators

Level Up [Game Dev Hub], recognized for its pre-incubation program for independent video game studios, is proud to announce the opening of registrations for the fifth edition of its program. In a scenario where support for the young entrepreneurship and the independent video game sector is essential, Level Up reaffirms its commitment to provide an accessible path for those who want to access the digital entertainment industry for work, taking into account the challenges and high competitiveness faced by aspiring developers.

During the last four editions, Level Up has supported 21 emerging teams, contributing to the creation of 6 companies currently active and 15 projects in active development within the video game sector. In addition, the significant number of €600,000 in investments on our studies and projects, thus highlighting the positive impact of the programme in fostering young entrepreneurship in this highly competitive field. The fifth edition of Level Up’s pre-incubation programme offers participants an invaluable opportunity to immerse themselves in a collaborative learning environment, receive mentorship from industry experts in the video game sectorand access to essential resources for the development and marketing of their video games.

What’s new for the 2025 edition:

Gamescom Travel and Pro Pass for 2 Teams: Two selected teams will have the exclusive opportunity to attend Gamescom, the most important European business event for the video game industry. 2 Playtestings day at Level Up with guests from the sector: Two days will be dedicated exclusively to playtesting, providing teams with valuable feedback on their developing projects. Professional access to Indie Dev Day Barcelona, the most important independent video game industry event in Spain: Participants will be able to attend and present their created video games to the general public and investors. Professional access to Big Conference: Level Up offers the opportunity to participate in the prestigious event held in Bilbao, where beneficiaries will be able to access conferences, workshops and networking opportunities with national and international industry leaders.

Key Dates:

February 26: Online Demo Day of the 4th edition of the program.
March 06: Pitch & Match to validate video game ideas and find team members.
March 19th: Informative webinar on the 5th edition of the program.
March 31st: Deadline to apply for the 5th edition.

The pre-incubation program will begin on April 21 and will run for about 9 months until December 15, 2024, although many other activities will occur the following year, such as their own Demo Day and attendance at other events such as Gamescom.
