Level Up Game Studios receives Creative Europe MEDIA support for the development of its new narrative adventure: Dream Bandits

Independent development studio Level Up Game Studios (Codiwans S.L.) has announced that its upcoming title, currently in development under the codename Dream Bandits, has been selected for funding by the European Union’s Creative Europe MEDIA programme. According to the official results of the Video Games and Immersive Content Development call, the project secured its place as one of only 42 European proposals selected (spanning 16 countries) from more than 320 competing applications.

This institutional grant, aimed at fostering the development of video games and immersive experiences, represents a significant endorsement of the studio’s vision and capabilities.

Following a period focused on consolidating the Level Up school and managing its own incubator, the team is returning to its roots as an active development studio.

Returning to the frontline of production not only unleashes our creativity, but also directly enriches our classrooms and incubator by keeping us in touch with the realities of modern development.”

The result of this drive is Project Dream Bandits, a mystery and exploration point-and-click narrative adventure aimed at an adult audience. The title features a 2D visual style rooted in the European comic school, with gameplay centred on logical deduction and critical thinking.

As part of its identity, Level Up Game Studios integrates a strong educational focus and ecological awareness into its productions, striving for a balance between creative quality, commercial viability, and educational value. With this new title, the studio aims to deliver an immersive experience that goes beyond entertainment to promote sustainability and encourage the protection of Spain’s natural and architectural heritage.

Co-financing from the Creative Europe MEDIA programme ensures vital stability during the pre-production phase. The studio would like to thank the European institutions for their trust, as such support is crucial for independent developers looking to deliver highly competitive and polished products.
