About our courses (4)
You can request a mentoring bag with some of our expert teachers in our online store.
Our courses offer an introduction to the topic you’re interested in, but they’re not enough to prepare you to find a job in the game development industry. If you want to specialize and seriously prepare yourself to access a job in this field, we recommend that you enroll in the bootcamp that best suits your profile. While courses are a great way to find out if a topic is of interest to you and if you’d like to continue your education, they don’t always guarantee you getting a job or specialising in a particular area. That’s why it’s important to consider whether a bootcamp or more complete training such as a monographic course is the best option to achieve your professional goals.
Yes, all our courses are part of training itineraries designed for different professional profiles in video game development. These courses will help you introduce yourself to the subject that we will later delve into in our bootcamps. If you do not find courses within the training itinerary you are interested in, we ask for your patience. We are working on it and we hope to be able to offer new courses and training itineraries soon.
It is possible that the same course is used for different training itineraries and, consequently, the teacher may vary.
About the online campus (2)
Level Up has an online campus where you can manage all your training, enroll, pay and access new courses, as well as customize your profile according to your interests to receive content adapted to your professional goals. If you decide to take a course with us, all the content is planned and programmed on Campus, including the recorded videos of the live sessions we offer. The final materials of each training unit will not be shared until the beginning of the course, with their attached materials that will be published as we progress in the training calendar. All the sessions, videos and downloadable materials will be available on the Campus and you can access them as many times as you need. In addition, all courses you take will be recorded in your account and, if you provide your interests, we will be able to offer you content of interest to you in the future.
With your free account on Level Up’s online campus, you will be able to access all your courses and training without unlimited time restrictions.
What is the training like at Level Up (4)
At Level Up, teaching support is included in all paid training. Availability and scope of support may vary depending on the type of training. For example, in the 8-hour courses and in the deferred monographs, contact with the teacher is provided through messages on our campus. In our live training, in addition to direct contact with the teacher, some programs include hours of individualized mentoring for each student. Unfortunately, we cannot offer teaching support in free training without sacrificing the quality of our services.
At Level Up, our training is focused on providing relevant and up-to-date content through the teaching of active video game development professionals. Our goal is to prepare our students for the world of work, and one of the best ways to do this is to connect them with industry professionals from the start. In our deferred training, this allows us to guarantee a high quality of teaching. In our live training, such as Advanced Cycles, Masters and Bootcamps, we also offer the advantage of working with professionals, although in this case it is important to bear in mind that the video game development sector may present some specific drawbacks. Professionals often have little free time and may have activities outside of work hours, such as attending events, traveling for work, or facing periods of crunch time. This may force them to modify the schedule of their classes on a one-off basis. In these cases, at Level Up we try to anticipate these periods and assign classes to another teacher from our team, but sometimes these unforeseen events arise at short notice or it is not possible to advance the classes of another teacher. In these cases, we decide to reschedule a class for another day, always within the time originally scheduled in our specialized higher education. Despite these occasional drawbacks, we believe that the advantages of working with a professional teacher in our live training far outweigh any specific problems that may arise.
The training provided by Level Up is organized online, live and blended. Thanks to this, we can offer high-quality training given by great professionals in the sector and for people who do not have to live in Barcelona or have the necessary time to travel.
Here are the advantages of our online and blended learning:
- We can collaborate with teachers who are great professionals (especially for our live training) and regardless of the country where they reside. Most professionals in the sector earn a very good living and do not have the “need” to provide training or have much time to spend on travel. Thanks to online training, we offer them more incentives to take their classes from home comfortably and without wasting time on the road.
- Training is more accessible to all people no matter where they live.
- The time of each person that is normally lost in travel is optimized.
- In the case of live classes, they are always recorded and can be reviewed later as many times as necessary. In fact, it is something that our students always use and appreciate.
- The blended classes are also broadcast online so that all our online students can remotely access the classes held from our center in Barcelona.
At Level Up we offer specialized training in the video game sector, from introductory courses to advanced Bootcamps.
The 2, 4 and 8-hour courses are a good option to learn about a specific topic and decide if you want to delve deeper into it. If your goal is to find a job in the sector or change your professional profile in your company, we recommend that you enroll in one of our Advanced Cycles, Bootcamps or Masters, which include a Professional Careers course to prepare you for the selection processes. Our training is designed to help graduates stand out in the job market, and to provide the specialist knowledge that companies need. While we can help you gain the skills you need to find a job, how quickly you get a job will depend on your effort and portfolio, as well as the job openings available.
