Questions asked during AMA:
Level Up:
- Can you tell us a little about your current context as a studio, partners and team in general?
- How is the study currently financed, exclusively with its own IP’s, providing services to third parties, with public/private funding?
- What events and festivals do you attend annually and how viable is this investment in the internationalization of your project/studio?
Incubator Equipments:
- 2 Weeks at Home Team:
- Could you explain the process of how you work on the backgrounds of the scenarios for a 2D game and how you calculate the number of assets necessary for them to have enough variety? And in the same line if there is any advice or “trick” that you can give us on how to work them. Thank you!
- CheapeeSoft Games Team:
-
- Could you tell me about any example of a video game that has had a better response from the public (and sales) than expected (according to your market research)? and some opposite cases. And subsequently, conclusions that you have drawn from the reasons that have happened.
- Dust Games Team:
- Our team is a bit similar to your beginnings, a group of classmates from the university who get together to play games. My question is a little related to these first steps, your personal experience, a little advice when taking the step of moving a group of friends to a formalized studio as a company.
- How was the experience of joining with other studios to develop koa? The division of tasks as established? (Each study towards an area?)
- Why did you make the decision to switch from being a mobile game developer to a console? How did this affect the team? (A different paradigm when it comes to producing?)
- Equipo Team Panda Studio:
- Do you know from the beginning which platforms/consoles you want to target with a game, or is it something that is defined as production progresses? (DS PSP case)
- What tricks do you use to ensure that your games don’t get lost in the mass of games that are published every day?
- When creating new games, how do you balance creativity and innovation with commercial viability?
- How do you approach co-production/union projects with other studios?
- Kraken’s Den Studio Team:
- What is the vision of your studio?
- How do you decide what your next project is going to be?
- How do you manage the issue of hiring people full-time vs. having partially people doing certain tasks?
