Discover all the advances about the Indie Cup Europe 2024!

The Indie Cup Europe is a Europe-wide online event where indie games in development are presented, for this, developers can use the free Indie Cup platform where they will get greater visibility, they will be able to interact with their peers in the sector and industry leaders through the messages and comments section.

This online festival has been produced since 2016 by GTP Media, a communications agency that works creating custom PR and marketing campaigns for video game studios, tech startups, and hardware companies.

The Indie Cup Europe 2024 began registration in mid-April, several sessions were held to present the projects and a first round of voting, with which the more than 450 participants were chosen and announced on July 3. It has a jury of 90 members, including game developers, content creators, and industry professionals and journalists. They will be in charge of choosing the winners for the different categories, which will be announced on August 1.

We find 3 categories: Official Selection, Early Consideration and Special Competition.

🕹️Official Selection (Official Selection): We can find in this category games that are in the middle or last phase of development. There is an independent jury that will choose the winners of the various awards, and it is made up of experts from companies such as Ubisoft, Crytek, Remedy Entertainment, among others.

• 🏆Gameplay Excellence Award : Best overall proposal.
• 🏆Rising Star Award : Best proposal from a small team without an editor.
• 🏆Critics’ Choice Award : Best presentation selected by the media.
• 🏆Creators’ Choice Award : Best submission selected by content creators.
• 🏆Artistic Excellence Award : Best audiovisual design.
• 🏆Most Experimental Game Award : Most innovative game.

🕹️Early Consideration : Exclusive to projects in the early stages of development (including prototypes and pre-alpha versions).

• 🏆Next Big Thing Award : Best proposal that is in the early stages of development.

🕹️Special Competition (Special Competition): is run by collaborators and partners of the Indie Cup Europe. These awards have their own set of rules and are not reviewed by the regular Indie Cup jury.

• 🏆WINS Awards: Highlight outstanding games in which women and other gender-marginalized developers occupy key positions.
