LVLUP 11×02: Level Design and Architecture with Oscar Crego
Sooner or later it had to happen, we are going to end this second season about design in the strict sense of the word, so to close this second season we wanted to deal again with a topic very dear to designers and in general all video game creators. Yes, we are going to talk about Level Design again, but this time with a new perspective, playing with perspective, specifically the architectural perspective and how it can help us understand the use of space. The design of spaces so that we can experience them as players, navigating through their shape, their lighting, their emotion, as a form of learning, provocative and exciting, capable of generating fear and curiosity, capable of making us remember unusual and memorable places. All this and some more tips when it comes to implementing these levels with our favorite tools, for this we have brought a fantastic professional, a truly multidisciplinary profile who has been working as a level designer for a long time, responsible for very emotional and interesting titles and who is also a teacher and regular collaborator of Level Up. Finally, we announce that the next episode will correspond to the first of the third season and we take this opportunity to anticipate that this season will have video game programming as its central theme, a first episode where we will announce a news that may be of great interest to our game devs listeners who wish to train at the highest level of programming for mobile video games.
