Level Up [Game Dev Hub] Announces Third Edition of Game Jam for Game Developers

Barcelona, June 21, 2024 – Level Up [Game Dev Hub] – recognized for its pre-incubation program for independent video game studios and conducting several professional trainings for developers, invites the video game developer community to participate in the long-awaited 3rd edition of the Level Up Game Jam 2024, which will be held from July 1 to 7 completely online. Designed to foster creativity and teamwork, this event promises to be a unique opportunity for developers of all skill levels. In the last event, we had more than 300 active participants (developers from the Spanish territory) and the event has become nationally recognized. Throughout the process, we generate multiple interactions and impressions, live events, mentoring, playtesting and post-event videos, which allows us to reach an audience of several thousand people interested in video game creation and the industry in general. We also have the participation of prominent industry professionals who act as jurors or mentors for the attendees. In addition, we have several well-known streamers in the industry streaming the games live, and we also broadcast key moments, such as the keynote and the awards ceremony.

Event Details:

• Dates: From 1 to 7 July 2024
• Modality: Completely online
• Objective: Create and encourage teamwork in game development

Key Dates:

• June 30. 6 – 9 pm: Team building. Meeting of participants in our Discord to facilitate team building and participate in the Jam.
• July 1. 17:30 – 19:15h: Opening Gala + Release of the Jam theme.
• July 7. 8pm: Deadline to submit the game and also deadline to register for the Game Jam.
• July 14. 4-8pm: Closing ceremony revealing the winners of the different categories and awards ceremony.

Highlights:

• Opening Gala: The event will begin with an opening gala that will include a presentation with valuable advice for the participants by Daniel Santigosa, director of IndieDevDay.
• Professional Mentoring: During the week, the teams will receive mentoring from professionals in the sector, providing an enriching and formative experience.
• Awards: 10 winning categories will be awarded with a total of more than €6,000 in prizes.
• Live Streaming: The featured games will be streamed live by well-known streamers on both Valuation Week and Post-Jam Week.
