Alejandro Garcia
I’m a Software Engineer with 7 years of experience, mainly focused in videogame development. I’m mainly proficient in C++ and Python programming languages.
I’m currently working at Improbable worlds in the engine team.
My previous experience consisted on working in various game engines on AAA titles: “Tom Clancy’s: The Division 2”, “Starlink: Battle for Atlas” and “Tom Clancy’s: The Division”.
I also worked on indie games at other videogame companies, I co-founded Moon Factory Studios and acted as Lead Game Programmer. We developed and shipped our first PlayStation 4 retail videogame “Rolling Bob” that won the 2015 most innovative game of PS4 award from Sony Spain.
“Rolling Bob” is available in PS Store and the Spanish GAME stores.
I’m passionate about my job, what I really love the most about programming is solving interesting and difficult challenges, hence why I especially enjoy game engine development. I’ve also been developing in my free time a 3D game engine called “Kobra” that integrates with C++ and Python, which I presented back then as my Bachelor’s thesis and EuroPython congress.
